Encap flower garden in Green Bay, WI

Wildflower images taken from my garden.  All of the flowers in this set are part of the Encap Wild Flower Butterfly and Hummingbird starter seed mixture.  This is the second year of using this mix where grass would not grow due to large evergreens nearby.  We love the garden and all of its colors!

Enjoy!

Black-eyed Susans and a Purple Cone-flower as viewed from below and a bright blue morning sky.

Followed by the stamen of an Daylily which would make a lovely wallpaper on your PC!

And finally some soft petals of a hydrangea.

Budapest, Hungary 2011

En-route to Budapest, Hungary from Prague, Czech Republic, we stopped in Bratislava, Slovakia for a quick lunch stop.  We had a fun waiter who really welcomed us to his country.  While we were eating, there was a small and loud procession of young kids walking down the market street. After we finished the lunch, it was back on the road to complete the journey to Budapest, Hungary.

Shortly after arriving in Budapest and checking in at our hotel Maria, we toured Budapest with our guide Péter Forgács. He showed us the Parliament, Buda Castle, Castle Hill, Matthias Church, and the Chain Bridge over the Danube River.

Also included in the slides was a day trip to Szentendre and an overlook of the Bend of the Danube. Szentendre was a short 60-90 minutes drive from our hotel. It was a short day trip primarily focused on shopping and enjoying the country side.

At the end of this slide-show, you’ll see a series of panoramas at night. They were photographed from Gellért Hill, showing from left to right the Matthias Church, Buda Castle, Széchenyi Chain Bridge, Danube Promenade and the Parliament.  It was quite a hike up Gellért Hill, and coming down was also an adventure as the walkway was completely dark and unlit.  I was just waiting for a band of thieves to jump out at me!

Flowers

I love taking photos of flowers from our yard here in Green Bay, WI.  Taken today are some close ups of some tiger lilies, an emerging cone-flower, a gallardia and an unidentified purple/yellow flower that reminds me of a bleeding heart flower.

These will be available for sale in the gallery section as well.

24×36″ print ordered!

I’ve ordered a new 24″ x 36″ wrapped canvas print today for one of my favorite images from Krakow, Poland. Pansies from a planter at an old Market Cafe were set as the foreground. Lit from above with the Nikon SB-900 flash on wireless remote. The blur moving through the middle of the image is a horse drawn carraige. The church and steeples in the background are that of St. Mary’s Basilca.
